In Ethiopia, a promise is not merely words — it is a covenant sealed before God, family, and the earth itself. Generations of Ethiopians have understood that love is not a feeling that changes with the seasons. It is a decision, made once, kept forever.
Kybelle was born from that understanding. We watched couples in Addis Ababa exchange words of eternal commitment with nothing to hold — no object to carry the weight of what they had sworn. We wanted to change that.
So we went to the goldsmiths of our highlands. We sourced the opals from our own soil. And we set out to make the most meaningful ring in the world — not the most expensive, but the most intentional.
The Craft
Made in Addis Ababa
Every Yene Kal ring is hand-finished by master jewellers whose families have worked gold for generations. We use only genuine Ethiopian opals — among the finest in the world — set in warm 18K gold sourced from our own highlands.
No outsourcing. No mass production. Each ring takes days to complete, and each one is unique.
